Masthead Amplifiers
What Is A TV Aerial Masthead Amplifier?
Masthead Amplifiers are not to be confused with TV UHF Distribution Amplifiers.
A Masthead Amplifier is designed for poor TV reception areas to boost a weak signal from the Aerial direct to one or more televisions.
Masthead amplifiers are connected directly next to the TV aerial usually on the aerial mast. A small patch cable connects the masthead to the aerial and then from the masthead the cable runs in doors to a power supply that powers the amplifier and from the power supply another patch cable to the television.
