Spanish TDT Sat Goes HD Only
Spanish TV provider TDT Sat stops broadcast in SD on the Hispasat Satellite at 30º W. This means anyone with an older Televes ZAS SD TNTSat receiver will need to upgrade to the HD version to continue to view channels such as Antenna 3, La 1 (TVE1), La 2 (TVE 2), La sexta, TVE1 HD.
TDTSat is the only way to receive Spanish National Channels in the UK and is a subscription Free Satellite Service. Only one receiver is capable of receiving the channels which is the Televes ZAS HD Combo receiver. Telves TDT Sat receivers receivers are quite difficult to purchase outside of Spain as they are reserved for people that are unable to receive channels via TV aerial due to location but receivers are available in the UK at a premium price.
The Hispasat Satellite is located at 30º West and is available in most of the UK with an 80cm Satellite Dish and LNB.
